“ Came in today for a coffee and sandwich, and the service was amazing. The gentleman kindly explained the components of the various sandwiches, as I am allergic to nuts, and was extremely helpful. Food was delicious, and the milk within my latte was perfectly frothed. ”

“ Great place to eat, we loved the ambience. It is different from the rest of the place and quite calm. There is a great selection of items to purchase in the cafe for pantry. The Jamaican breakfast was quite incredible, for some it is an acquired taste, the salty fish, pancake and onions take you to another land whilst sitting in london. The mushroom breakfast dish that we tried was very good as well, it had bread served with mushrooms, cheese and poached eggs. The size of both dishes was good for a healthy breakfast. We had a good serving of coffee and hot chocolate, the mugs were big and filled appropriately. Service is good and friendly and worth a few visits. ”

“ Rustic decor, welcoming warmth, ebullient servers; Cobb’s Corner is a spot of level-headed comfort in the heart of Sydenham. It is clear from the sincere loquaciousness with which each customer is greeted that good relations have been built with the surrounding area - an instant ease bringer, to be aware of built trust. A great conversation was had with the staff after eating, clearly intelligent and overtly charismatic, about where I came from and I was offered a Hello Kitty sticker before heading out (which now has taken up permanent residence on my phone case, in memory of such a wonderful experience). I got the Cobb’s Special ‘Loxed Up’ - a bagel with salmon, dill, jalapeno cream cheese, and a small salad. Whilst the plate’s content looked fairly normal, the flavour was overflowing. The salad was colourful, with a helping of balsamic vinegar aiding the flavour. The bagel itself was simple and sumptuous and the taste sensations mixed together in harmony. This, coupled with the fast time in between my latte and food being delivered (thus meaning I could enjoy both compatibly), made lunch a congenial experience. Should people come to Sydenham, I would certainly recommend Cobb’s Corner Cafe as a relaxed and reasonable place to take rest and enjoy. Kind staff, and well-priced, I have left feeling sated and in good spirits. ”

“ What a gem. On second visit got Goat curry which is unbelievably good - hot and coconutty served with rice n peas. Located inside an atmospheric old Victorian shop premises with original windows and dramatic high ceiling. First visit I had a red lentil, squash and coriander soup which was so tasty with chunky bread. Husband’s full English was proper good - proper bacon and a proper butcher’s sausage. The creamed scrambled egg was tasty too. They specialise in coffee - cappuccino was very smooth. Choc and pistachio cake was yum. Cheery genuine staff. ”
